Child Protection Policy
1. Our Unwavering Commitment
App Common is a service exclusively for consenting adults aged 18 and older. The safety of our community is our highest priority. We have an absolute and unconditional zero-tolerance policy for any activity involving Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE).
Protecting children is a fundamental responsibility that supersedes all other platform rules. Any user found to be in violation of this policy will be subject to immediate and permanent termination of their account and will be reported to law enforcement.
2. Strict Age Requirement
- 18+ Only: All users must be 18 years of age or older. Providing a false age or creating an account on behalf of a minor is a severe violation of our Terms of Service and this policy.
- No Minors: Users are strictly prohibited from posting images of any individual who is, or appears to be, under the age of 18, especially in any suggestive or inappropriate context. Any account reasonably suspected of being operated by a minor will be immediately suspended pending age verification, and terminated if the user is found to be underage.
3. What is Strictly Prohibited
Any action that creates, possesses, distributes, or facilitates CSAM or CSAE is strictly forbidden. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Distributing CSAM: Uploading, posting, sharing, sending, streaming, or linking to any visual media (photos, videos, drawings, GIFs, or other content) that depicts a minor in a sexually explicit or abusive manner.
- Possessing CSAM: Saving, downloading, or storing any CSAM on or through our platform (e.g., in messages, on a profile).
- Solicitation and Grooming (CSAE): Using our platform to solicit, lure, groom, or attempt to engage in any sexual communication or activity with a minor.
- Promoting Exploitation: Any communication, content, or profile information that promotes, normalizes, glorifies, or depicts the sexual exploitation of children.
- Facilitating Offenses: Using our platform to coordinate or plan any real-world activity that would result in the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor.
4. Detection and Reporting Mechanisms
We employ a multi-layered approach to detect and remove this illegal and harmful content.
- User Reporting: We provide clear and easily accessible in-app tools for all users to immediately report any content or user they suspect of violating this policy. We treat these reports with the highest priority.
- Human Moderation: Our teams can identify CSAM, grooming behaviors, and other forms of exploitation.
5. Our Response: Enforcement and Legal Action
Our response to any violation of this policy is swift and severe.
- Immediate Termination: Any account found sharing, possessing, or distributing CSAM, or engaging in grooming or solicitation, will be immediately and permanently banned from our platform without warning.
- Mandatory Law Enforcement Reporting: We are legally and ethically obligated to report all apparent instances of CSAM and any activity related to CSAE to the relevant authorities. In the United States, this includes making a mandatory report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), which works directly with national and international law enforcement.
- Data Preservation: We will preserve all associated account information, content, and metadata related to the violation as required by law to assist in the investigation and prosecution of the offender(s).
We are steadfast in our commitment to maintaining a safe platform and will use every tool at our disposal to combat these heinous crimes and protect children.
